Who is responsible

The data controller is Davenford Group, trading as Baking Cotswolds. Our correspondence address is 10 Sylvester Close, OX18 4RU, United Kingdom. You can contact us at bookings@bookthecotswolds.com.

Our workshop venue is separate from our correspondence address: 136–142 High Street, Burford, OX18 4QU, United Kingdom.

What this policy covers

This policy covers website visits, contact enquiries and private-group enquiries. It does not replace the privacy information supplied by third-party booking or payment services.

Information in enquiries

Contact and private-group forms collect the information you enter so that our team can respond, which may include your name, email address, telephone number, enquiry type, preferred date, approximate group size and message.

Forms are email-only. Enquiry information is delivered to and retained within the Baking Cotswolds business email account. The website does not create a CRM record, lead profile or other persistent website enquiry record.

Why we use information

Depending on the context, we use personal information to respond to requests and take steps before a booking, administer a booking or payment, comply with legal obligations, protect the website and our services, and send marketing only where the appropriate consent or other lawful permission applies.

How long we retain information

Ordinary contact and private-group enquiries are retained for up to 24 months after the last communication. Booking, payment, tax or legal records may be retained for up to seven years where legally required.

Website security and server logs are normally retained for up to 30 days unless they are required for an investigation. Website backups are normally retained for up to 30 days. GA4 analytics data is retained for 14 months.

Marketing information is retained until consent is withdrawn or the recipient unsubscribes. CookieYes consent records are retained according to the configured CookieYes account retention. Information handled by third-party processors is retained according to the applicable provider’s privacy terms.

Service providers and external bookings

The site may use Hostinger for hosting, SMTP2Go for email delivery, Google reCAPTCHA to reduce abuse, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics for consented measurement, CookieYes for consent preferences, and Rezdy for external bookings.

Selecting a booking link takes you to Rezdy. Rezdy processes booking and payment information under its own terms and privacy information. Providers may process information outside the United Kingdom under the safeguards described in their privacy terms.

Your choices and rights

You can ask for access to personal information held about you, request correction or deletion, object to or restrict processing where applicable, withdraw consent, or raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Contact bookings@bookthecotswolds.com to exercise a right or ask a privacy question.
